PART TIME OPS PERSONNEL ATTENDANCE POLICY

The following point system will be used to deal fairly and consistently with employee attendance problems.  If you are frequently tardy, cancel numerous shifts or repeatedly fail to report to work, you will be subject to discipline. If you acquire fifteen (15) points in a rolling six (6) month period we reserve the right to terminate your employment.

Points for any given infraction are “live” for exactly six (6) months.  On the sixth month and one day after a particular infraction, those points drop off, but any points for subsequent infractions remain active until 6 months from their respective assessments. (Example: If you are charged 5 points for a no show on June 1, the points will count until December 1.)

* Prior arrangements: You let me know more than 24 hours in advance and there is a valid reason for it

After a No-Call/No-Show you will be emailed about it and will not be put on the next set of schedules until you have responded to that email.

More than one No-call/No-Show within a 30-day period of time we reserve the right to terminate your employment.

You will receive a written warning at 10 points (unless the 10 points are for two No-show/No calls within a 30-day period of time). If you have questions about your point total please contact your department manager.

Attendance infractions that result in the assignment of points will be noted in your personnel record.  Documentation may be required to support the cancellation of 2 or more consecutive shifts for the same incident (i.e., sick, family emergency, etc.).  Points will only be assessed once per incident.  (Example: If you call in sick on June 1 and again on June 2, you will only be assessed 3 points for the initial late cancellation.)
